ESWT

We are excited to announce that we are one of the few practices in the area to offer Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatment (EPAT).  This innovative modality provides a non-surgical approach to addressing pain.  EPAT is the most advanced and highly effective non-invasive treatment method cleared by the FDA. This proprietary technology is based on a unique set of pressure waves that stimulate the metabolism, enhance blood circulation and accelerate the healing process.

Treatment sessions take approximately 5-10 minutes and, generally, at least 4 treatment sessions are necessary at weekly intervals.

Ask us about this new technology. Not only is it non-invasive, anesthesia is not required, there is no risk of infection or scarring, and there is no downtime.  Our patients are getting better faster and, most importantly, are getting back to the activities they love.

Laser Nail Care:

How does it work?
The laser light passes through the toenail without causing damage to the nail or the surrounding healthy skin. At the time of the procedure, the toenail will not become instantly clear, it will take time(approximately 9 months) for the new healthy nail to grow out.

Is this procedure safe?
There are no age or health restrictions or limitations. In clinical studies there have been no adverse reactions, injuries, disabilities or known side effects.

What can I expect in the provider’s office?
The laser procedure will be performed, preventative care instructions given, and also a six month follow-up visit with the provider.

Is the procedure painful?
There is not any pain. Some people feel a warming sensation and very few feel a slight stingins sensation.

Do my toenails get removed or will they fall out?
No, we do NOT remove your toenails to do the procedure, nor do they fall out after the procedure.

Is there a recovery period?
No recovery time is required and no post procedure pain.

How long does the procedure take?
The Laser procedure takes about 30-40 minutes.

Will the fungus come back?
The infection improves following one treatment and the providers will recommend care techniques to reduce recurrence of the infection. There is always a chance of reinfection because the fungus is present everywhere in the environment.

When can I paint my nails or have a pedicure?
You can apply polish immediately after the treatment. It is important to remove all nail polish and nail decorations the day before your treatment.

How much does it cost?
The cost is determined by how many nails are in need of the procedure, as recommended by the doctor or as you may desire.

Nails - $300 per treatment.

How do I pay for the procedure?
Cash, Money Orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are all accepted.

Is this covered by my insurance?
This procedure is considered cosmetic and NOT covered by insurance. You may be able to use a Medical Flex Spending Account or a Health Savings Account if you have one.

How long have you been doing this?
Clinical studies began in November 2007. We have been doing the procedure since 2011.
